  1. Hi I purchased the Sony N510CK (US version with car kit, but w/o rechargeable battery NH-7WMAA). I'm interested to know what the specs are on this battery because I want to buy a sony replacement that I can charge in the N510. On the sony website there are only NiHM AA batteries with 2100mAh available to buy (NHAAB2C) so I'm wondering if these would be compatible to charge in the player itself as I don't want to have to buy a charger. Thanks
  2. I've already tried this numerous times but I always get the same result with the same error message. As SS2 used to work I thought that it must be a codec error that is conflicting with SS2. I read somewhere that other Sony software may cause conflicts with SS2, because I have a Sony video camera (which also uses the same usb cable as the Net MD) and the video software installed as well, does anyone know whether this can cause conflicts with SS2?
  3. Hi I have a Sony N510 and have the modified SS2 installed on my computer running XP Pro SP1. I have sucessfully used SS2 to make numerous MDs, that is until now... I hadn't used SS2 for about 4 months and when I did go to transfer files to a blank MD, SS2 came up with an error saying "file type not suppported, cannot transfer selected files". This happens whether its an mp3 or wav file and even on files I have sucessfully transfered in the past. I have uninstalled SS2 and re-installed it numerous times to try and remedy this situation but to no avail. I can still play mp3 and wav files in SS2, I just cannot trransfer them. I read somewhere that SS2 uses direct show audio filters/decoders to transfer and convert files so I thought that maybe SS2 is unable to detect a needed decoder or something. Also I cannot even initialize an MD, so could this be a hardware problem? I hope someone can help me with this situation Thanks in advance
  4. I've got the same problem too. I uninstalled all Sony-related programs and drivers and then installed Sonic Stage 2.0 (iceeedtea's version) but it has given me 0 transfer rights for every song I have. Also SS2 seems to work really slow on my system compared to 1.5, is this a common problem with version 2? p.s. I'm running a P4 1.7, 512 ram, windows XP Pro
  5. Hi I'm new to NetMD but definately not new to MD. I have a question about the conversion of mp3s to MDLP4. I know MDLP4 is highly compressed audio, but I want to know why my mp3s recorded at 192 (ripped with Nero Mix at constant bit rate, not variable) sound like trash when some of my mp3s I've downloaded (at 128) sound passable? I have a large mp3 collection (1900+) most of which I have ripped from their original cds with Nero Mix and I don't want to have to rip them again with a different program to get them to sound passable. :wacky: Does the Image Drive / Daemon Tools method via Simple Burner produce better sound quality results then Sonic Stage? (i.e mp3-->wav-->atrac3 mdlp4) thanks for your help in advance!!!
