  1. I still use my MD for live music recording... is there something newer out there that is economical? I had a guy tell me ipod was ready the other day, but I can't find anything on their website. We aren't talking radio recording here... My MD is starting to look like it's been dropped one too many times.... is there anything that replaces it (Yet)?
  2. I blew it. Had it on a mic stand... but not secure. Mic was subtly moving through the whole performance, and of course you can hear it on tape. Any effects/editing I can do at all to reduce or eliminate the sound? Diane
  3. I just thought I'd ask. I delegated the recording job to my daughter. I loaded the disk, tested, the test is there... it's a used md, but I had erased the previous data. She says she checked it several times during the concert, and at the 1/2 (intermission), she turned it off and put a new md in. Well the second one actually taped, the first set did not. She claims it was running, so that's why I'm so depressed and haven't given up. is there anyway it's there, on the disc, somewhere that I can't find? There is only one group. My test record is there, nothing else. Diane
  4. I bought a Sony m.d., although I had a DAT for years. I love how easy my md is to use, but I'm getting a lot of distortion, even on low sensitivity with my mic. I bought stealth mics and a battery pack. I've been reading about this on this formu. Are you saying I should run those mics into line in? Not that I think the md has a line in.... or is there something else I need to put in the chain to give me more control of the levels? Thanks! Diane
