Looks like it was the battery after all. I pressed the record button today and waited for it to stop. Took about 2 mins. and I got the "low battery" flashing message, even though the battery life indicator showed it was fine! Guess I'll try it with the AC adapter next time. Dave

Guys, I have a Sony MZ-N510CK that I use for recording our band practices. The first couple of times I used it it worked great but the last few times it just stops at seemingly random places, sometimes right in the middle of a song. The battery seems to have lots of power, I'm stumped. Any ideas what I could have done? Dave
