Seems unlikely, though you shouldn't take that as authoritative. Perhaps you can find a factory deck with an aux in? Or depending on how strict "they" are, you could put in an aftermarket deck, but put back the original when you have to give the car back...

Thanks; the MZ-N505 is what I was leaning toward. I don't need another recorder at all -- that's what the 707 is for. So, the 505 will use the same charger, but won't sit in the stand, is that correct? That would be OK.

Hmmm... Exact is hard to say, but would be looking for something on ebay in the 50 - 60 range.

I recently purchased an MZ-N707 recorder on eBay, and ideally would like to buy a second minidisc player for the rest of the family. Here are the qualities I'm looking for: 1. compatibility with any/all discs recorded on the 707. this is mostly stuff recorded via the USB interface, but live stuff as well. 2. low cost! 3. rechargable battery 4. ideally, it could sit in the charging stand of the 707. What would folks here recommend?
