Thanks...I've tried that, but still get the same error messages, one other thing I can't appear to find a download for v2 without first reloading v1.5..any thing else I can try before I take both these things back to the shop and ask for my money back?

Hope someone can help me...I'm new to MD bought my kids MD players one has N510 and the other N710, I'm unable to record using SonicStage v2, continually getting error messages "an error has occured while preparing to record the CD, please try again" I'm also unable to transfer from my library to the MD player. I can record to hard drive using windows media player so don't reckon it's a hardware problem. Any suggestions? Iain
