  1. I still have some questions about the apparent changes made to the MZ-NH1. Looking back at the photos these show a multi-pin connector on the bottom of the unit. I assume that this was to act to connect for both USB and charging. Now this has make me realise that this model was not using a standard USB A-> Mini-B cable, and that there is (or was) therefore no way to connect USB to the unit without the docking station. Could this be why Sony has made a change here? Is there someone who can establish or get a photo of the bottom of the revised model?
  2. The change you mention that the ‘cradle is only for charging’ is a significant change from the photos of the demo models that have been seen. Do you know if this means that you will also be able to connect the power supply directly, that is without the stand as with the MZ-N910. This is something I have wanted with the MZ-NH1, as when I travel I just want to take the power supply to be able to recharge and NOT the cradle as well
  3. SonicStage 2.0 will do this or just connect you CD player via an optical cable to your MD.
  4. Madly, The “penny dropped”, I did not realise that “Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004” (XP MC 2004) is another version of Windows XP. I believe that this maybe the reason for your problem. As I read it, for SS2.0, the only supported Windows XP operating systems are Professional and Home Edition. Having said that I also read that XP MC 2004 is a superset of Windows XP Professional! Create a new post asking if anyone has SS2.0 running with Windows XP Media Center. It does seem strange that an operating system that is designed for digital entertainment will not let you run SS2.0. I would suggest that you try contacting Sony support site. Sorry that I cannot offer more positive help.
  5. Try this thread http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=4767 or look at other post in this section.
  6. Sorry I am still confused. Do you have two PC's one with Win. XP, and one with Win. ME? I don't know Win. ME as I have never used it, but if you are trying to install to a NEW PC with XP then I don't see why you would have any problems.
  7. Madly, your note is a little confusing you mention Windows XP Media Center 2004 but at the end mention Windows ME. What is your operating system? I would assume it’s Windows XP and not Windows ME. My other question is how are you trying to install Sonic Stage, is this from the Connect web site or do you have original discs? It’s possible with trying to install the different versions that you may have a problem. Have you tried uninstalling? If not then follow the instructions in this thread http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=4767 Then install SonicStage 2.0 from one of the Connect web sites. The speed here will depend on what way you do this.
  8. OK I have found it, as I guess to refer to the posting by Ryzir that is now a sticky.
  9. Out of interest can you post a link to the thread full SB2.0, as I cannot find it. Thank you. As for the minidisc forum, send a e-mail to the T-Board Administrator which you can find bottom of the first page. I had similar problem a few weeks back after updating my profile and this is how I managed to get back in.
  10. Malow, I posted a link to this on MiniDisc T Board see http://www.minidisct.com/forum/showthread....&threadid=22890
  11. Malow, This works for me and I have just tested it with my MZ-N910, both with a CD and also using an Image file created with Nero. I expect that SB 2.0 will become more available now that the first Hi-MD is available in the US. If anyone else wants to try this then don't forget to shut down after installing or SB does connect to CDDB. It also only allows transfer in LP2 and LP4 modes, as before, but also will allow for Hi-MD (SP, LP and 48kbps) but I assume this is only when a Hi-MD recorder is attached. Don't worry about your English it's good enough!
