If you have a lot of mp3s then get the iPod because it's going to take you a lot of time to convert them to atrac, plus it decreases the quality. I have an iPod and recently got a hi-md. It took me ages to convert my mp3s to atrac. If you get the iPod make sure you get a good case for it since it scratches like hell!

I'm new to minidiscs (I just bought a 600 to get a feel of them). If I like it, I'm going to exchange it with a 900 (when it comes out), otherwise I'm going to go with an ipod mini. So far I like the 600, the sound quality is good, sonicstage was also very easy to use. The only complain I have so far is the navigation. Compared to other mp3 players like the ipod the navigation of the 600 is not that good. The lcd is small and it's hard to navigate through it. This was probably not a setback before, since the discs didn't have that much capacity, but with 1gb discs navigation becomes important. For example here's a problem I'm having: Say I want to select a playlist of 20 songs. I bookmark the songs I want and then start to play them using the bookmark play mode. After I'm done with the playlist I have to go to each and every song to remove the bookmark in order to clear the playlist! :wacky: Is there an easier method to do this?! In the ipod you could easily clear your playlist and then build a new one. thanx!

They're pretty expensive!. The 800 is $250 USD which is 340 canadian dollars, I don't know why they are selling it for $400! I imagined the 900 to be $400 ($300 USD = $400 CND)

I also had a question regarding this topic. Is it possible to use the NH1 without the remote (can the functions of the remote be accessed on the unit itself)? Unlike most people I don't like remotes because they make the headphones heavy and make them fall out of my ear. From the looks of the 900 it seems that all the functions of the remote are on the unit as well.

What's the difference between the NH3 and the EH1?

I'm deciding wether to choose the MZ-NH900 or the MZ-NH1. Can anybody compare the remote of the two. Also about the external AA batery case of the 900: After you put the battery in the case, does the case go into the unit or is it pluged to the side? (probably a stupid question!) Is there any other reason the nh1 is $100 more expensive other than the coolness factor ?! thanx
