i dont know whats wrong or how to proceed from here, if anyone has any help they can offer... my md (sharp mt899) started to go wrong a few months ago, intermittently discs inserted would contiually whirr without reading, occasionally locating a track if i forwarded and would play from there within a week or so it just didnt read at all just whirring without stopping i thought dirt or grease or something (sounds silly now) i then tried one of my discs on another md player (sharp mt88) and the same thing happened, just whirring without reading i figured my discs were the problem i had both md players serviced and cleaned mine the mt899 was no different the second started to work but very quickly returned to whirring along the only unknown here is that the shop may have tested mine first and then used the same disc in the second md player causing it to break again how something can transfer from a cleaned md player to a new disc to another cleaned md player, i just dont know i have no idea whats wrong here , or short of throwing 2 md players and about 50 discs away how to resolve the problem any ideas julianbrown@mail.com
