I apologize for not responding for so long. Here's what I did. I first uninstalled EVERYTHING. This means all audio/video codecs I had (including ffdshow) as well as sonicstage. A restart later, I reinstalled sonicstage and tested it. It worked fine. Then I installed ffdshow and tried it again. It also worked fine. Now, I install PowerDVD to cover the mpeg2 files that I wasn't able to play. I test out the codecs with various VOBs and DivX/Xvid files and they work fine. Then, I GO BACK, and try sonicstage again and the problem reoccurs. This time, I uninstall JUST powerdvd (somehow I had the impression it had to do with powerdvd or otherwise mpeg 2 things because ss worked after I reinstalled ffdshow). I also uninstall ss and reinstall it. Problem persists. Lastly, I uninstall everything again, and do a reinstall of ss. Tested it and it worked fine. Then I install separate xvid/divx codecs and test them out with videos beforehand. They work fine and so I try ss and it works fine. I install powerdvd once again and try ss. Voila. It still works! Of course I haven't restarted after installing the codecs but so far, it works like it should. Let's hope it stays that way. Thank you juaum from the T-Boards. His suggestion that ffdshow was at fault was dead on.

Just checked and I had two different Fraunhofer codecs installed. I disabled the non IIS one and rebooted but still no success =/ I would have never thought about that though

The mp3s themselves have no problem. They all transferred perfectly up until the problems started. I've tried transferring the same mp3s via Hi-MD mode on my win2k machine and they had no issue.

So here's my problem with Sonicstage 2.3 that just started occuring recently: Sonicstage itself works fine but When I transfer a track to my NH1 in Hi-MD OR NetMD mode, the track will transfer but when I listen to it, there will be background bloops and the track may be sped up a bit. I haven't seen any other problem of this kind around so I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. So far, I've done 3-4 full reinstalls of SS2.3. I've also tried uninstalling my MD drivers and reinstalling them. All this and I'm having no success. Currently I'm running SP2 with everything up to date. I'm thinking the problem was caused by a recent security update post SP2 but I have no way of knowing since XP won't let me uninstall the individual updates. ... I also have a less critical problem on my 2k machine with SS. It seems whenever I connect my NH1 to it in NetMD mode and start up SS, my computer will just reboot itself. Anyone else get this? Any help would be appreciated but the first problem is what I would really want fixed asap I hope this wasn't already posted. I ran a search but couldn't find anything similar

So I just got my NH1 and I've been playing around with it for a bit and I noticed something....I try to upload a track from a disk I just made and it shows the transfer dialogue but I have no idea where the track is uploaded to. Anyone have an idea about where the default uploading folder is? It's definitely not the "Location to save recorded files" (the optimized files folder) place in 'options' under the tools menu in SS2. All help is appreciated

I see alot of people getting these but they all seem to be getting it after upgrading or installing for the first time. My first instance of this error happened today after a long stretch of sonicstage 2.0 working perfectly(I started using SS2 around when Iceeedtea released his build). At first, I tried to import an m3u for the MD swap i'm a part of on the Minidisc T board and it gave me an omgjbox.exe error. Okay, no biggie. Since my last MD recording, I only had 3 notable changes to my PC. I installed PCMark2k4 and that has issues with my WM stuff, reinstalled WMP as well as misc codecs (divx etc), and changed my default browser to firefox. I thought it may be the last one that was causing the problem so I temporarily removed firefox and did a full reinstall of ss2.0 (as per the netmd reinstallation faq). A fresh installation and a few reboots later, I can import music into my library but the moment I try to transfer, the error pops up again. Because of this, I think that maybe there are codec problems and I do a little digging and I think I saw a post saying I had to install some fraunhofer mp3 decoder so I do that and do a nother reinstall and voila! The error still happens. Next in line is to try the MS Jet that was mentioned in another thread. I update that and do yet another full reinstallation. The error is still there. Moving along, I tried that Ojbsir.exe that Kurisu (hey my name is chris too ) recommended but it tells me it can't connect to the internet (i'm on a DSL LAN). Lastly, I try installing the "official" ss2.0 release (I was using Iceeedtea's build formerly downloaded from my friend on the Tboards, Nblack. It worked great til now). I did a full uninstall and started the offical ss2.0 installation. After all those formalities are done, the error is still there. I switched to ss2.0 because it was a helluva lot easier than the m3u2sb/sb method and the transfers were alot faster. Reformatting my Hard Disk at the moment isn't an option because I have already committed my entire music library to this system and it would be a nightmare backing everything up. All that being said, is there anything I can do to restore my Sonicstage 2.0 to its former glory? Thanks in advance and I apologize for any spelling/grammar mistakes, I'm pretty frustrated at this point because I'm already late on my MD swap deadline. Oh by the way, if you need my PC specs, I'm running Windows XP Pro. Everything is pretty much updated according to windowsupdate.com. Also running a p4 2.4ghz 800mhz fsb Shuttle ST61G4 SFF. Sound card is an Audigy 2 zs plat pro, my bios is the current release. If you need to know anything else, just gimme a buzz.
