I'm not an idiot, SS and SB weren't running. Now the mass storage is working, but it still says it's in use whenever I use SS or SB. I think it's something to do with my computer bios (i know thats where the mouse and keyboard problem lies) so who knows...

This goes along with my keyboard and mouse also not working, my USB mouse works fine... but for some reason, my Hi-MD in the USB slot doesn't work fine. It senses whenever it is in and it shows up in SS and SB, but it says that it is being used by another program. When I click on it as a drive, it only shows the basic files, none of my music or other files that should show up. I think it's a problem with the bios (i tried to install new bios but the install messed up), can someone please help me?

Okay that's not my problem anymore, got my friends old comp (700 mhz). My problem now... is getting files off of regular MDs, I can only transfer them to the comp they came from? The comp they came from is a piece of **** that doesn't even run SonicStage, is there anything I can do? BTW, now that i'm actually using HI-MDs on my Hi-MD player... it's been the ****, I love it, holds so much...

So there's no 3rd party software at all? No programs like simple burner that can run on crappy systems? O well, hopefully my friend will trade me my NetMD for his old old computer (it's either 500 or 700 mhz, either way, beats my crappy system). And I don't have the HI-MD that can record in real time, i have the 600D or w/e, the $200 one.

I checked another site and found out that you can't drag and drop ATRAC files... which leaves the question I really want answered, how can I burn on my piece of crap computer! Is there a fanmade program that might work? I know it's possible, it's just that Sony didn't take the time to get lower specs.

Is there a program that can convert to ATRAC3 from MP3 or Real Audio? And also, if I just drag and drop ATRAC3 files, will they work on my HI-MD? My 2nd question is... how the hell do I burn on my Win98? Simple Burner 1 worked fine... but Simple Burner 2.0 installs fine, but then craps out whenever I try to open the actual program, but the thing in the toolbar still comes up and works (but it won't burn). So how can I burn on my crappy win 98, 266 mhz, 32 mb computer? Real Player did work to burn files... but I have to save to my computer, then transfer, I just got my Hi-MD and I really don't feel like going through all that... But on that note, there is a Hi-MD codec thing for Realplayer (not realone player, realoneplayer is slow as hell, and realplayer is basically the same thing but without a few features that I really couldn't care less about). Your help would be MUCH appreciated.

Straight off the CD's, either way, i'm not recording in LP2 again, and definitely not getting memorex discs. Those things suck. I only bought them because they are the only discs the store sold... I bought the 2nd to last one. I went back later, and what do you know, a full rack of Sony MD's appeared. Just my luck...

For some reason, some of my songs skip on my memorex disks, yet, on my sony ones, which i've recorded on a late more, the songs are perfect. I've tested my cd's by recording on both company's discs, and the memorex ones definitely skip or make the cd skip from recording. BTW, im using a netmd, so its obvious what type of disk im using. And the Lp2/LP4 thing. How come it seems that while songs are clearer on LP2, the instruments don't sound nearly as loud. Thursday's "War All The Time" cd is crap on LP2, but is loud and perfect on LP4... any insight on that?

Yeah... tip-top shape.... Scratched up... case is a little bit loose... thank god the things tough. O well, if the price of Hi-Md's drops to $150 next christmas, i'll get one instead of a... wait, 1 gb? Damn, nm, i'll get that for $200.

I got my NetMD in december.

Great... a month after I get my MD, they come out with something new that I can't even use.

If so, how do I format my disk? I am asking this because, well, I want to hold more music on my NetMD, and I after seeing about the "305MB Hi-MD formatted Minidisc" I was hoping that this would work on my NetMD.
