just registered on this forum. um, i own a aiwa am-f80 for 4 yrs now and i recently bought a 20-pack of blank minidiscs which has been giving me problems on playback. its memorex 80-min blanks. i've tested and compared the new blanks (recorded) with my old memorex... the old one's don't skip or pause during playback but these new ones do. um, i thought the lens needed some manual cleaning by hand but the new ones continue to skip and freeze at whatever time frame. um, i recorded via an online radio through an optical cable from computer to MD. could anyone give me feedback on what to do other than buying a brand new MD? Thanks! the FAQ's seem to go around this problem.
o.. um, disk cleaning paused on its own during playback at the 50% mark out of 60 min run time. and the other thing about the new blanks, the problem begins at ~11 min in LP2 recording.
