Looks like I solved the problem. You have to download Sonic Stage 2 (or above) and things will be ok. Some songs still don't work, but that's because windows arbitrarily changes their options to READ ONLY. Disabilng this option does the trick.

Hi all, I've seen this problem one too many times now. I have an mp3 I want to transfer with Sonic Stage, transfer it on my minidisc but when I hit play the unit stays silent for some minutes, then goes on with the next song in the playlist. Basically it plays the whole song but no sound comes to the earphones. I tried then playing the same track with SonicStage and guess what? Same problem. After importing the mp3 from my hd to SonicStage the song is silent. WinAmp plays the song fine. Anyone solved this problem?
