I also had problems before with a sony discman and a sony cd for pc. I will never buy Sony again. I am also in South America so offcourse I am fu**ed for life. We latin people don't deserve same treat as our North American fellows. And it cost me 350$ to buy this expensive crap that worked a year!!! If there is a solution please tell me, I am planning to build a hate site for Sony, anyone wants to join? Maybe if we send a petition to Sony all the n707 users together they will refund us or give us a new MD? IPOD here I come (when I have the cash...)

Mine doesn't record either, morover, when I tried to add tracks it has deleted all the others showing: BLANKDISK. This is not a behaviour expected from such an expensive device. My warranty is over a year too. I am teribly dissapointed by Sony and never will buy a Sony product again.
