Resoldering? Is there instructions of how to open the MD player and do this? Is this something I can do myself?

I have a MZ-N510, and myPC doesn't recognise the player when connect it up with the USB cable. I'm not even getting a "PC>>MD" appear on the display. It's not a fault with the usb cable as it connects fine with my digital camera, and also I have another usb cable. The connection at the MD player seems to be a bit loose. Is everyone else's connection there a little loose too? (loose but doesn't come off). And does anyone know the problem? I've tried installing the Net MD drivers already. Help appreciated
