hi boquist , Yes they both have MIC jack and both have manual or auto record level for MIC . I would really rather sell both of them together , and I wont ask alot more for both than I would just the MZ-707 , the MZ-N707 is like new and hardly used . I made one disk with the Open MG and thats it . listen to it for about 3 hours total .I bought them to do a project on telemarketers but when George Dubya's new laws put them all out of work it also put an end to our project . I dont know how many hours are on the MZ-N1 since I am not the original owner , I got it from my neighbor she said she hardly used it, was a gift to her and she didnt understand its operation , seems in perfect condition but I am missing a few items , the biggest being the original headphones, the power supply unit is a 220v , so therefore I am just kind of throughing it in along with about 15-20 new disk . Both of these players share the same software and power supply unit and obviously same disk so once you set up one its very easy to use the other .

Sony MZ-N707 (black, red trim )only 3 or 4 hours use , purchased new at B&H Photo in NYC, I have all originally included items, cables, manuals , craddle , software , case, cars kit and maybe can dig up the reciept also . Sony MZ-N1 , (silver )I am 2nd owner, unit purchased in Hong Kong but unit display and menu's are in English, the only difference seems to be the power supply is 220v in . 220v to 110v travel adapter is a common Radio Shack item, just havent needed it . I use the PSU from the N707 to charge N1. dont have original manuals, software, optical cable, case or headphones, but have everything else including dry battery (AA ) adapter . Unit works fine and I prefer it to the 707 . the driver and software are available for download on this site http://www.t-station.net/forum/showthread....burner+download Both units are in great cosmetic and mechanical condition . both units have mic record capabilty. I never recorded a live show with bith units simataniously but i have read of others doing this . make offer on one or both , will give a better price on both of them .
