ok. i have tried everything now, everything else works other than ss, i.e. the backup utility etc. so i heard that someone here buit their own copy of ss2.0, but i couldnt find it anywhere, would someone be kind enough to direct me to a link. Regards

nothing. i installed it straight away. i think it could be something to do with the windows updates i dont have.

anyone else wanna help me? i have reformated my computer done a clean install of winxp and just the same. i am obviously not doing somthin right. i thought the sonic stage u download is an update only so how come you have to uninstall the older version? i thought it would install over the top of it. please some one help me.

yeh, i looked at the location in the desktop shortcut and it was omgbox or something like that located in the program files, when i opened it it starts to run but i get the same error??????

ok, thankyou. by the way just looking through your instuctions again i see it tells u to plug the device in before you run the program, could this cause the error message i get?

yes exactly, i have tried everything. something i neglected to mention, i didnt install it from the online update. i copied all the files under the extract folder in the windows temp dir, to install later on my laptop. when i install on laptop everything goes well untill i try and run the program. i appreciate your help.

hi, i have been using ss version 1.5 and thought it was time i upgraded. i use xp by the way. i install everything correctly and am told the installation went successfully by the installer. i restart the pc then double click on the SS icon and i get the error message "cannot locate required program" please someone help me fix this.
