  1. I have the 600D as well. Unforuntately I have't had the time to dish out cash for another one, I'm just fine with one I have. Plus I have the RM-MC40ELK to go with it, so that really adds more of a tech design to it. So its like a budget player+high class remote I should say. I just wish I didn't have all of these earphone and remote wires everwyhere! >_< I think Sony might release some new Hi-MDs next year to coorespond to the new generation units. I wouldn't mind seeing some clear color ones
  2. I was thinking about getting it. I mean the 600 does have the headphone remote jack, and I really need a backlight to sort my songs. I don't want to buy it just yet, because I've only read it was only compatibile with the 900, 800, N-1, etc. But 600hd was on the list. I did to a test with the cheap remote that came with my 510ck a while back. it worked, slightly[due to the jog dial, track selection didn't work all that well]. So does the backlit hi-md remotes work witht he 600?
  3. I just bought an MZNH600 yesterday, and it worked fine. But for some reason even though the USB cables are in both the computer and the Hi-Md player, Sonicstage and Net MD won't detect it. Then when it does, the program freezes up the list and it remains there[the hi-md song list] long after I disconnect the player/recorder. And then when I used Simple Burner v2, its on the default setting where it runs when you first start Windows. So I then connected the recorder and it was connected, disconnected, connected then disconnected and connected again. I've already did all of that reinstallation process. It dosen't help much. I just want to know why it seems like the USB cable isn't in, when it is, and why SS/Net MD isn't detecting it? Thanks in advance.
  4. Well I really don't care for the optical and analog input anyway. I store all of my music digitally. I really don't care for remotes, they always seem to get in my way. And I just want something with more storage. The 600 looks fine with me.(I heard that some say its a bit bulky and feels like plastic).
  5. Hi. I'm Spectral[or DJ Spectral, I create techno music, lol] and I'm considering getting a Hi-MD player. So far I've had two regular net md players[the 410 in which the buttons screwed me over so I sold it and the 510CK Type S that came with the car kit that I have now]. The 510 is doing pretty well since December in which I got it for Christmas and it has never messed up on me yet. But I really want a Hi-MD player of course, for the 1 GB Disc[the 80 Min Discs are not enough] My budget is around $200-250, and I was going to get the 600HD[$200] or the 800-700[forgot which one, the one with the am/fm tuner for $250] My problem is that either one is fine, but with the 600 I'll have to deal with the jog dial[can someone PLEASE tell me how that thing works because it looks complicated and fragile], and the other one isn't in stores yet.[dosen't have a checking account yet so I can't order it online] Should I wait or get the 600? I'm thinking about getting the 600 next week. And I will keep my 510 by the way. Any helpful input would be appreciated. Thanks.
