Has anyone worked out a way of transfering audio from Hi-MD to a Mac other than playing it through the computer and re-recording with wiretap? Thanks Mark Harris

I usually record on my portable DAT then play through my Mac via line in and record onto Logic for editing. Will I lose any sound quality if I switch to HI MD and record uncompressed? ie not using ATRAC. I've read through all the bumph but it still seems unclear. although I suspect that Hi MD uncompressed is exactly the same as DAT. Any opinions? Mark H
