  1. Hey guys. While solving a problem with some mp3s that would sound broken for moments during playback, I figure out the way to get the best LP2 quality when it comes to transfer the songs. Being that with LP2 you are "compressing" an "already" compressed file, the mp3, I thought it would be a waste of quality. So why not to compress with LP2 a non-compressed file ?. Then I figured out I was right. So I extracted all my mp3s to WAV format and then I transfered them to my MZ-10. The result ??? NEAR CD QUALITY for your songs. So if you find your mp3s lack of brilliant sound like your're used to, do this and you'lll see the way quality changes along this process. Thank you and get me updated with your results. Javier
  2. Hi First of all lemme introduce myself by saying this is my first post. My name is Javier, I live in Argentina, Buenos Aires and recentry bought the N10. Needless to say i'm a sony and minidisc geek. Now, here's the problem i'm having: When I transfer some "non-standar" mp3s, say VBR ones, or 192k, 256k and 320k mp3s, some of them sound perfect but some others suffer sound cutoffs just like when you have an earphone that its cord is about to break and it sounds like a false contact. Hope you know what i'm trying to say. It's like the sound is getting cutted off for some seconds, switching crazy between left and right, then comming to normal and so on and so forth. I'm having a hard time trying to understand what causes this problem. Since it's been little time I have this unit, I don't certainly have any detailed technical information about minor issues this unit can have with "special" mp3s, nor anyone I know about that has encountered this very same problem in order to share the reason with me either. So, finishing, I would like to ask you guys if you have experienced this problem before, and if you did, if you can give me some advices on how to pick and transfer "good" mp3s to minimize the risk of getting sound-cutted problem songs. Thanks in advance. Javier
