From my experience sony are OK at dishing out upgrades. I have a sony DVD writer, and there have been loads of firmware upgrades for it, so I shouldn't see HI-MD being any different. BUT Sony's firmware upgrades come with a warning, DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Just a standard MD player, a sharp MD-SR505E.

Excuse the lack of knowledeg, but I only just got my first Minidisc player. I have the mz-nh600 Hi-md player, and while it works great, how do I record music so it can be played on a standard MD player? My girlfriend has a standard player and wants me to copy an album onto MD for her, seeing as how I can do it via usb a lot faster than her. But I don't know how to do it. Cheers for any help.

seems like a long way for a shortcut. I was hoping for some third party software that woudl allow me to import/convert in one touch. I don't really like changing compressed files to wavs, then re-compressing, I feel you would degrade the sound quality even further.

I have loads of Itunes aac and m4a music, is there any way I can upload this music onto my Hi-MD?
