u didn't say how long the recordings needed to be ! altho I have the n1 , I couldn't comment on the quality of hi-md recordings as of yet. but the lp4 setting, produced good music quality, 4 me, and thats 324 minutes... but no synchro not sure if that info is of any help..

got my n1 from minidisco 379+...2 complaints , unable to edit without the bloody cord, must use ugly charging stand , no little 3v input , no aa wart attachment option either, ok 3 complaints... :wacky:

also have n1 . seems 2 have enuf power 4 me. but if u need 2 block out the outside noise , the ex71 r pretty good, but r a bit muddy. and the e888 sound fabulous I listen at half volume most times , but can hear outside noise more with them, cuz they don't seal as well as the ex71...not sure if that helps u or not...
