  1. Hello again, problems solved. My damn Sony NW-HD5 just quit working. I didn't drop it or else, it just quit working. I turned it off the second i arrived at work and tried to start it after work and it just wont boot. It starts to boot and then turns off. When connecting it to my PC the PC just doesn't care, it doesn't find it, same with Sonic Stage. I tried the Sony "Support" Hotline and they told me to send it to Texas for repair. They also said, that it would cost me at least 130 bucks. Hahaha.....retards, i dont pay 130 bucks when i get a new one for 250. So this is the last time i bought something from sony. Any suggestions on some other brand? And pls, don't mention apple. Indy
  2. Hello again, same problem persists....i just don't get it, why, why, why? Now, i stick to ripping the mix directly from hd after finishing it.....it sucks cause it got no trackpoints before burning.... i'll just wait for SS3.5, it's sad, but hey what should i do...... Is Sony aware that there is such a problem? do they work on something? do they work at all? Indy
  3. Hello again, it's not solved completely. I had a few skips in one of the mixes i ripped with 3.4, while 2 or 3 of them where ok. It's kinda random and i don't have any clue why this is happening. Let me guess....nothing from sony regarding this kind of problem. I mean, with 3.3 everything was fine when it came to ripping stuff. The DRM problem was even worse, i couldnt transfer most rips cause it said they are copyrighted. Now the skipping crap. i mean, the player is great but the software sucks so much.....retarded! i'll bump that thread from time to time, perhaps someone can solve this in the future...it's SS3.4 that is messed up and i hope they'll fix it..... Indy Oh, almost forgot: I'm rippping with 352kbit/s ATRAC. The only workaround i found is to rip the cd with some other program and the convert the 800 meg wave to ATRAC and transfer.....but hey, sony, one of the leading producers of audio equipment should get this crap working......damnit! Indy
  4. Hello again, it worked for me now. I activated the smoothing option and disabled every single program that is not needed for ripping, i.e anti-virus, peer guardian, even the razer mouse driver thing. i had one single gap in the beginning of the first cd i ripped but every cd that came after that, was perfect. I think SS3.4 needs loads of resources and doesn't like any other programm running in the background. I'm almost happy now.....almost..... Indy
  5. Hello again, like i said before....with SS3.3 everything was fine, same pc, same drives, everything as before.....in SS3.3 i could rip my mixes without any problems, ok one, SS told me that my, i repeat my, mixes are copyrighted, wth? Everything was mixed using original vinyls, still SS said there are tracks i cannot transfer, they are copyrighted, crap program. Now with 3.4 this didn't happen and i was kinda happy with it and then the soundproblems began......i'm kinda pissed off..... Indy
  6. Hello again, first of all i would like to thank u guys for your time..... @fotel: Did u get it working yet? @all: Thanks for the tips, i'll try that. Some days ago i ripped one of my mixes directly from the .wav file before burning to cd...and it worked fine, without any gaps! So something maybe wrong with my cd-rom, but, why the hell didn't this happen with SS 3.3? perhaps setting the task priority to high and turning on that smoothing thingy will help, i'll keep u informed.... and again, thanks for your help m8's Indy
  7. Hello, no, i don't! It began right after updating to SS3.4. I didn't alter any settings i used in 3.3. Every CD comes up with those annoying gaps, sounds like u give your cd-player a kick while it's playing..... nothing like that happened with 3.3. i had plenty of other programms running while ripping/transfering with SS. this was no problem in 3.3, now perhaps? Indy
  8. Hi Guys, i upgraded to SS3.4 yesterday. I was positively surprised, that most mixes i made and could'nt transfer with SS3.3 suddenly worked (DRM)! Now this just means nothing 'cause everything i rip (352KBit/s ATRAC) and transfer ends up with annoying glitches in the music. It sounds like a dirty cd-player in which the spinning cd jumps around like crazy......mostly in the beginning and end of the cd.... i tried the ones that i transfered prior to SS3.4 and everything's fine with them...... wth? pls help! thanks in advance for the help, Indy
