  1. Not quite sure to understand. I was inferring from the first part of your post that it was not possible, i.e. that you could not directly re-read a recording on your computer, due to DRM limitations even on you own recordings... Please enlighten me :-)
  2. Aha ! I would have thought that the audio files would "show up" in the file system... So if I follow you correctly even your own recodings, in raw PCM, are DRM-locked ?! Gasp...
  3. Hello Thanks for your very prompt response Actually I *browsed* through that thread... Just wondering... assuming that linear PCM is just that (i.e. uncompressed raw sound) and that the HI-MD can be "mounted" as a hard disk what would be the problem of importing sound recordings directly into an editor ? I'm pretty sure that there are very valid reasons why it's not doable... just trying to understand them ! Regards
  4. Folks Is there a way to directly import "native linear PCM" from a high MD into a sound editor ? I'am quite aware of the limitations of ATRAC but I would think that PCM should be easily readable... I do most of my editing using ProTools on a Mac, but have access to a PC if SonicStage is the way to go... Thanks & regards Alex PS: Sorry if the question sounds naive, but I am curretly wondering about purchasing this pupy...
