  1. Is Simple Burner still supported when used in XP? To not have this available with Vista (if that's the case) is a non-starter for me as it is the only part I use most of the time.
  2. <<Shame though about no Hi-MD deck appearing since this means I'll just have to keep legacy MD's around --would be nice to have everything the same.>> This new unit is great but I would trade it in a moment for a HI-MD deck for my sound system. Sony, who in the past has produced deck at every 50 dollar price point, has yet to come up with one for the HiMD format. A deluxe unit like my JA50ES would be just the thing.
  3. I installed 3.4 and tried to use it as I had a previous version. I record LPs to .wav files and divide them into tracks - a folder with the album name and then each track as a file within the folder. Before when I imported a folder or group of folders to transfer to Hi-MD, Sonic Stage would retain the folder (album) names and keep the tracks associated with the albums. Now SS just imports the tracks and gives them a number without any folder association or name. Can I get it to operate the old way? - Jim
  4. I also hope Sony builds a HiMD deck, ideally an ES model. I'd love to play my LP to HiMD transfers through my stereo system without having to hook up a portable unit. Anyone know if Sony offers one in Japan?
  5. Marcnet - I downloaded .03 and found the tracks, creating a format. The file was saved as a .txt successfully but I cannot open it to see, print or database it. I have tried with Notepad, Wordpad and Wordperfect 11 with several .txt optiions. What should I try?
  6. I have recorded several CD albums on a HD disc and want to play back in the shuffle mode. Because I can put over 7 hrs on the disc, I keep coming back to it in several listening sessions. I keep the disc in the NH-1, simply stopping the play after each listening. When simply restarted, it seems that the shuffle mode does not always remember where it is in the shuffle. Shouldn't it play each selection once before repeating any? Exactly how is the "random" selection made (there does seem to be some consistancy in the shuffle order)? If the disc is removed, the shuffle starts over. After reinserting the disc, I'd like to be able to restart at the point I left off in the shuffle without repeating earlier selections. If I know how the shuffle works, I might be able to pick up the shuffle sequence at the last point before disc removal by advancing to the next selection in the shuffle if I can figure out what it should be. Anybody have any detailed info on how the shuffle works? - Jim
