You're mentioning the M-S pattern brought back some old mic'ing theory way back in the cavities of my mind .... Good advice, but I went ahead and bought a mic with stereo omni's on nice long cables (due to budget).... Was thinking that I would use a single mic (and a single track) for interviews, and try spaced omni's for ambience .... dave

Folks Have been looking at the Sound Professionals SP-ECM-MS907. I really like the way it's packaged and it looks well suited to my particular applications. Wondering is anyone's had any experience with it yet and whether they've had problems when they've collapsed the signal to mono? I'm hoping this mike will be a mono/stereo "silver bullet"/ Thanks!
