First of all, thanks for the response.
I bought the mds-e10 for DJ'ing. I wanted a nice piece of equipment that would take up the least amount of rack space. I've dj'ed in Michigan for 3 years using my bosses MDJ-330(i think thats the model number) and a Tascam 301(again I think.)
Those both took up 2u rack spaces. Minidiscs are definitely the way to go for DJ's who aren't into a lot of scratching and whatnot. I use minidiscs along with a Numark CDN-90. Most DJ's I talk to are against MD's though. They complain about the supposed loss of sound quality. I have never had a complaint.
I have a problem though. I just got this unit in the mail today. I cannot use any editing functions unless I use the remote or keyboard. Does anyone know if this is a live sound override function, or if this unit is just broken. Again, all play functions work including the pitch control. That's what I get for using eBay I suppose. I got it for 175.00 USD, so I have to decide whether to return it, or pay to get it fixed, OR just settle with using the remote for editing purposes.
Thanks again,
Jeremy
