  1. Hi, Trying to decide between an Ipod , Net-MD, and NW-HD. I currently have a MZ-N707 , and really like the unit, but I am having trouble in justifying sticking with a Sony based product in the future The lack of MP3 support is not a huge deal breaker for the type of use I want , however one the features I really like about the Ipod is the ability to create multiple playlists from the music that resides on the device. I have read that Sony provides very limited support for this functionality through the following features: - 'grouping' which will move the track out of of its current group - 'create compliation album' - which will duplicate the track on the disc - 'bookmarking' - i don't kno a lot about this , but I'm not sure if you can have more than one set In short does SonicStage provide an equivalent 'playlist' feature whch does not require duplication or movement of the tracks and instead is just a list of references into the stored music Thanks Trevor
  2. Nothing shows up in the display. The sound button on the remote still works and when I turn the top of the remote to play a track and hold it in that position the track will play however when I release it back to its natural position the track stops playing. Apart from that the remote does not function at all
  3. Thanks for the reply - my 707 is not hacked The sound still works throught the headphones and th contacts are clean - so I guess its either a problem with the remote or the unit itself. I'll check my remote out with another unit before replacing it
  4. Its a standard RM-MC10L with no back light
  5. My inline remote control has suddenly stopped working with my MZ-N707. The last thing I can remembering doing with the unit is using its headphone line out to connect to my sony separates hi-fi. Could this have switched the headphone line out into a different mode so that it no longer thinks it is connected to an inline remote ? Or is it more likely that the unit/remote is broken? Cheers Trevor
