  1. Hi there again rdbyk. Just to let you after looking around this place I came across this thread http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t...ight=initialize 'Unplug player. Close SonicStage and restart Windows. Take the battery out of the player and leave it out for a minute. Reinsert battery. When Windows is up again, start SonicStage, when it is fully loaded, plug in the player. If the discs are conventional discs, initialize them in NetMD mode, that way everything is deleted, then initialize again in Hi-MD mode. That should usually solve the problem. ' For some other possible fixes just do a search on this site for the word 'initialize'. Follow that thread and all should be well. Many thanks minidisc.org
  2. Hi there, I'm quite new to the forums as well. I've been trolling through the sony website to try to get an answer to that problem too and have come up with nothing. I'm wondering if this is a relative new problem. What I've done to try and fix it is uninstall most of my critical updates (the problem seemed to occur after installing service pack 2 on Winxp pro)service pack 2. I've uninstalled/reinstalled stupid sonic stage 2 numerous times all with that same stupid message. sony are the kings of bad tech support and there website only offers support to the most basic questions. Please please if theres anyone out there that knows a fix for this please post something here. I like minidiscs but the idea of shot putting my md out the window is looking better each passing day
