I've got a Vivanco EM216 microphone. It comes with an additional box which has on/off and stereo/mono switches.
The box is powered by a 1.5V AA battery. Is this a battery box? I've had this for 3.5 years but never used the box itself. I always plugged the mic directly into the mic socket of my old R900.
I have recently got a Sony NH900 and I am shortly going to record a concert which will have very loud and very quite parts.
If so should I be plugging my microphone into the box and into the line in socket or should I be plugging both the box and mic though the mic socket?
When I plugged the mic directly into my old R900, if I didn't get the manual record settings right, then the recording would distort. If I went to much the other way then the recording would be to quite.
Does any one know how long a batter would last using the box?
