  1. > The renderer software will allow you to make a wav file from the OMA file that SS2.2 makes. How can I get OMA-files? The uploaded files are named .OMG > Also if you ever delete SS you MUST make sure you have a database backup (using the sonicstage backup tool) During upgrading I was asked ti deinstall SS2.0, and I let it be done. Was that a fault? Shal I deinstall als the sony-stuff and restart with a 2.0-installation from the CD? Also, I only can get the european-installation-tool which results in SS2.1 Thanks for your patience! - Secco
  2. > Had you looked a few lines higher Hello. Thanks for your advice. I read this article, but didn't succeed at all. My HiMd came with ss-V 2.0, and upgrading via the pointed out url made it to V2.1 First as written, the version has to be 2.2 to work with that tool, and second the new version 2.1 doesn't reconize my MD-recorder anymore. And it produced OMG-files instead of OMA als mentioned. Anyway, V2.1 gives the opportunity to save the tracks to audio-CD - but this is blocked on my files with pointing out on copyright-violations - on my own recorded tracks!! So now I've nearly reached that point to throw all that stuff out of the window! What the hell does Sony make blocking uploading self-recorded tracks via USB to wave or other standard-formats?!? This isn't described in detail in all that advertisings and technical descriptions!! So if the "render"-tool is the only way to transfer track-files to wav on a PC without "recording" again via line-out/in it would be great if you or someone else could give any hints and advices how to get it run. Thanks a lot - Secco.
  3. Hello. Beg your pardon if this theme already is discussed to death - but I couldn't find informations to make it clear for me. I bought a NH900 to record live-Tracks in Hi-MD /PCM without compression and tried to uploard the tracks via USB to my PC to work on. But this seems to be difficult or not possible (?) as there is no softweare (?) to read the recorded OMG-fileformat nor ther sonystage-software is able to save the tracks as wav or else. Is this right, or am I blinded in a way? Is there an other possibility to get ordinary wave-files from that OMG-files, without loosing quality? Please help - I've no way to handle it. secco
