Sweet, i’ll be getting one of those leads tomorrow. It will be so good to have my md loaded with music without having to resort to pesky cd changing. So the optical out can only be used for transferring from cd – md but there are connections for audio inputs from md , tape and aux to play with. Bought the Yamaha mini hifi today from http://www.unbeatable.co.uk/CatalogueItem_20422.html for £139.98 and the sound acoustics are breathtaking for the price. Graded product so the boxes have been opened but what the heck when it retailed last year at £299.00. I’m very happy with my purchase.

I'm new to minidisc and was wondering if it is possible to connect my sony himd nh700 to my hifi and use it to play back through the hifi.I know i can record to the minidisc but slightly confussed if it can play back the other way. Hifi is a yamaha crxe300 with opitcal and audio pin connectors. Thanks.

Sonic stage back working but i had to format the hard drive and re-install everything from scratch which was a right pain. I dont know what the problem was but it was running before installing sp2.

I was having problems with Sonic Stage 2.2 not always transferring files to my mz-nh700. Worked with 3-4 albums then the program hung at 100% leaving himd disk unable to play until I reformatted it. After reading many posts I then installed XP SP2. When my computer restarted I was unable to open the Sonic Stage program. No errors just nothing happened when clicking the program. Simple Burner works fine and also the sub-programs in sonic stage like the backup tool work. I then uninstalled all Sonic Stage programs following the netmd software faqs and re-installed with the same problem occurring. Please help as I’m completely stumped.
