hello, I am musician and I need to record sounds (birds, water, cars, etc..) with a good cuality considerating that the recordings are for music making and not for utility needs. Which microphone can you sujest? The sensitivity swith (included in sony R900 for example) is it nesesary considerating that that my minidisc has recording volume? Iam thinking in getting a minidisc with that function. Is it worth it? thanks.

so, with any minidisc with usb port I will be able to transfer audio files to a PC and then convert them to wav format..right? Do you lose sound quality in the transformation? Is the transform software shareware? Can you recomend the cheapest sony minidisc with usb port and mic in? thanks..
