OK, I started the unit by pressing 'REC' then pausing it about two seconds later. The disc made a strange sound like it was reading the same area over and over. 'DATA SAVE' flash for about 45 seconds and the the message 'REC ERR' came up. Now when i use any disk i get the msg 'READ ERR' Is there any way to fix this without sending the unit away? I'm desperate 'cause i need it for a Uni project thats due in 2 weeks. Thanks EDIT: After reading around a bit, the problem could be something to do with the laser alignment or the motor? (forgive me, im new at this) Is there a way to set some sort of auto alignment? JuT
