  1. You was right! Excellent headphones...! They cames this morning, the best headphones I ever had for sound quality. But... they have bad points too. 1 I think they're very unconfortable especially after (just!) half of an hour listening. However I found a method to make them more confortable (socks cushions by headwize.com). 2 they're building quality seems not good as Sennheiser; I'm talking about the several (even if small) plastic imperfections. 3 If not drive by an headphone amp they doesn't deliver the sound quality delivered by amp driving (in my opinion). The worst things related to this cans are the building quality and maybe some bad features like that orrible and unconfortable headband and those so hard ear cushions. Anyway I think that these cans could be improved in those bad points by some modifications explaned at headwize. However the pro is that they express a truly awesome sound compared to my other headphones and in ear monitors.
  2. sorry MZ-NH1, I said that would be nice if could be special sections for each language of the most spoken. Not everybody can explane their opinion as well as by their mother language. But I know, it's a very difficult thing...
  3. sarebbe bello se ci fosse un forum dove poter scambiare i nostri pareri in italiano. mi sa che ci sarebbero altri ragazzi, anche se non molti, pur considerando che in italia il minidisc è un binario morto...
  4. I'm Italian... even if I don't really need this new feature I think that other italian people could enjoy this
  5. maybe you're right ...but who "really" needs more than one minidisc unit (or even only one), or more expensive cans, or all the devices that everyone buy only because they're "cool" (like ipod). Many friends of mine bought an ipod and almost never listen to it... at least I use very often my devices.
  6. my nh1 already has its equalizer. It is for general use, expecially with my devices that don't have an equalizer such as mp3 player, my old (but good) cassette player and cd player. Then I want try to equalize the line out of my nh1, I'd like to kwnow if the sound it is really more accurate than the headphone out as I read somewhere (I really don't remember where) in the web. But I need something small
  7. right! what other devices you think are such small as a cmoy?
  8. I guess if a pedal euqalizer (originally made for electric instruments) can become a decent headphone equalizer. What about audio quality? I would like to have a small equalizer to connect to a cmoy amp (almost same dimensions). Do you think it's possible?
  9. The easiest way to block RF noise is to place one or more clip-on ferrite noise suppressors on the audio cables and... I alerady have them on my cables. consider that those enclosures are specifically made for electronic parts http://www.hammondmfg.com/dwg8.htm so, I don't think they do not offer a kind of isolation at all. But the thing I most appreciate in that amp (the one in the auction) is the tidy assemblage, the two opamps and the quality (declared by the links on the part list). Considernig the size, it seems not much bigger than a mint box and if it is, I don't really matter because I will use it at home. In my opinion (and in my case) it seems better than Jay's amp but it's true, I can't say anything until I listen to it. So, I think (after earnt some other money... yesterday I bought a pair of grado's... ) I will take it in the next future.
  10. yes but... take a look http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...5789448459&rd=1 the same amp made by jay polaski with all these features will cost more than 50 $. The one in the auction costs 59 $ and has 2 opamps instead of one, gold-plated jacks, a truly professional and accurate assemblage, volume controller with built-in on/off switch (many other, like jay's one, are sold with no volume control which renders it unable to be used with devices with no built-in volume controls such as standalone DVD players, CD players and most importantly, the higher quality 'line out' output on portables. Last but not less important: it's upgradeable; in fact you can change the opamps in any time beacuse they're mounted in a gold-plated socket and are easily replaceable by the user. what do you think about? opinion please thanks
  11. At the end I bought a pair of sr-125 grado's headphones! In about 5 days they should be here...
  12. sorry for the mistake... I wanted to say Beyerdynamic but at the end I wrote Sennheiser... don't know why... however yes, they are closed and maybe I shouldn't disturb anyone... but it isn't a rilevant problem in my opinion. So I'm seriously considering to buy Grado's headphones. By the way...I'm going also to buy an headphone amp. Does the cmoy do a good job with theese cans? It seems too an handicraft unreliable device... Am I wrong? Isn't better an industrial one?
  13. The question: Sennheiser dt770m or Grado sr-125? I found them on Ebay about at the same price. I'm very attracted to Sennheiser for the feature described in the product's brochure and for the enthusiastic reviews, but many people say that Grado are almost the best headphones ever... I don't know. The only thing I'm sure of is that I need the clearest sound expecially for middle range and a good bass response. Has anybody listened to both these pairs of headphones? Can anybody help me choosing one of them?
  14. I don't understand why my last poll (identical to this one) doesn't exist anymore... Anyway... my actual setup is composed by Sony nh1, Sennheiser PX200 and Future Sonics EM3. Now I'm looking for a pair of headphones (supra aural) that sounds good with my device and also with valve amps (I'm going to buy one of these in the next future). I'm very happy about my EM3 but they needs equalization to my ears. In fact the sound, when I connect them to my nh1 (when unequalized), is good in midrange but not bright at all in upper range. The sound completely changes when equalized, but now I want something I do not need to equalize. I'm quite happy of my Sennheiser but they don't have a good bass response to my ears. The genres I listen to are psychedelic, art, progressive and space rock, and sometimes classical. I found theese headphones on Ebay for around 140 euros the most expensive ones (Beyer and Grado) and 100 euros the cheaper ones(akg). keeping in mind all this informations and considering my budget of max 150 euros (but I would prefer under 130) can you tell me your opinions? Wich one? Why? thank you Andrea
  15. yes, i understand... but I'm preparing for the next time!
