I have an old minidisc and was thinking about upgrading to a HiMD recorder. I use the old one to record jams but it doesn't have a USB port or anything fancy, so if I want to upload to my computer, it's a bit of a hassle. I understand that the HiMD's will let you upload recorded analogue audio, but I couldn't find out how fast. All I could find was that they can download from the computer at up to 100x, but said nothing about upload speeds. I read somewhere something that sounded like it was 1:1, which would make it only slightly better than what I'm using now... But sony couldn't really be that stupid, could they...?
