yeah nomal alkiline is 2570 or so and litium is 2900.man im still racking my brain makeing a decision.on md. i love the things i mention but man i like the drive of some mp3 players 5mw just seems so low but i do miss haveing a md player man that one i had before was amazeing. i also loved the small size of it.i had mine before mp3 so it was also cooo to see the name of the song on the unit.

did you see sanyo has 2500 mah batterys now. there also marekted as energizer.i dont know wherrre ya live .but in usa ya can get em for 10 bucks for 4 batts/opps just saw where you are from my bad. aint sure where ya get em there

hmmmn i havent had the newer himd unit. but i had like a first generation md player i got at a aauction it was new, i liked that thing a lot but it was big and didnt have pc comapities but i loved how it soundedi also like cheap media.and the fact the media is more durable the cd.s

hmmn that makes it hard to say i do like my music pretty lioud.and im always in noisy envirements.my usit would be usa well at least it will be bought in usa so i sure hope i dont get a uk unit.i curenntly have a sony mp3/atrac diskman the ones that play cd. its like a year old.how would the 600 sound in compare to it?id assume they use the same sound amp? but i realy dont know.

im familer with atrac and i like atrac. its on my sony cd/mp3 /atrac disk man.which i like but its kinda big..for me being in the usa sony is the only option i see since i can only buy localy(i have no credit card).i just need a small unit that yhas good sound right now i have a 256 meg iriver mp3 player whiich has plenty of output but i think bitrate to biterate atrac is better then mp3 and wma.plus 1 gig disk is sweet to.thank you both for ya advice and the wolcome
