BUMP 117 views and nobody has a similar problem? help!

Does anyone have this problem? i set the clock correctly on the NW-A3000 unit and a day later, its 2 or 3 hours slow. i haven't synched the time with the pc in this period, in fact it hasn't been connected at all. I bought this unit when travelling in Japan and now reside in UK so not sure UK sony support would be interested. Has anyone else had this problem? or can anyone offer a solution. cheers

As far as i am aware there is not connecting cable at the moment for the NW-A series for Sony head units. The Connects2 unit you link to will work with the HD5 and associated units. I spoke to Connects2 a few months ago and they told me they are working on a connecting lead, but would not give me a fixed date for release (apparrently they have lots of testing to do) The only option currently is to use a 3.5mm jack connector with L/R rca connections in the back of the head unit. I bought a Sony CDx 7500 (i think) and it has an aux-input at the back that enabled me to do this. a bit of careful wire running and you can have a quite tidy set-up. unfortunately you have to control the NW-!3000 directly which can be a pain when driving though! hope this helps

I though Atrac was a smaller file size? but yeah, i appreciate the loss in sound quality. Looks like i'm best to just normalize then! cheers all!

My mp3's are a mix of 192 and 256kpbs (i use it in the car and can tell the difference between 128 and 192 quite definitely)

Hi, I have approx 25 gig of MP3's on my PC's hard drive at the moment. Would i see any improvement (reduction) in size if i convert all MP3's to Atrac or Atrac3Plus? If you think i should convert them i also wish to normalise my tracks as many have different volume settings. Can anyone reccomend software to do this in one bulk process? also.....(last question - promise ) when converting from MP3 to Atrac3Plus what bitrate is best (i want to get approximate same sound quality as a 192kbps mp3) any help is much appreciated! bye

Hi, Having abandoned Connect player for my A3000, i am now having some troubles with Sonic Stage. In Sonic Stage 3.4 in the device view, it only displays tracks by artist name, then dropping down to display which albums they are in. Is there any way to display tracks on the device by album instead? i wish to delete a couple of albums from device and its proving incredibly difficult to delete compilation albums in their entirety as i don;t know which artists are on which album!! help!!

Hi, don't know if i'm being a muppet or not, but i cannot seem to get the songs off of my NW-A3000 onto my computer at work. Is this possible? madness has set in if its not, but any assistance would be appreciated. do i just drag them from the player window into the library section? i have tried this but it does not seem to be working. every time i do this the unit crashes and wipes all songs from memory - i only have a small HDD at home and its doing my head in copying my mp3 archives over from cd every time! cheers all!
