  1. you say that the Manual Volume can be changed while recording? I only managed to change it by pausing the minidisc player then going to menu->recording options->volume, but I can't edit this while it's playing, (like I said). You mention 'the stick" does that mean the 'remote'? Thanks for the help,
  2. Hey everyone, I read the threads about mics, and picked some in ear binaural microphones. Now, I tested them out and they seem to pick up everthing (and I mean everything!) I bought the high sensitivity ones, and then set the recording level to high sensetivity, then the AGC to normal, and my recordings seem way to loud. Like, I was recording a water fountain, and it just seems like the recording I made was turned up way to much, or is this normal, and I'm just not setting up the mic position or something? thanks eveyone in advance, Aaron
  3. kurisu, you are right, that is the issue. It's just that I heard some stories about data being lost with Sonic Stage, and also MarcNets tool may have some little hiccups in it. I will do some more investigating of the TOC file. There was another file on my HIMD disc as well. I disregarded it earlier though since it said the file size was 0kb, but now that I think about it maybe it's just rounded down..
  4. I don't like it. I don't have any plans for music piracy, and even if sony was more lenient there are still a million easier ways for piracy than this.
  5. I was thinking, I just got the HIMD NH900, and recorded some sounds. Now, I haven't used Sonic Stage too much yet, but after reading some posts here, it seems there is a possibility that my recording might get accidentally deleted or messed up in some other manner. So I connected my HIMD and was able to access the drive (in Windows of course) as the H drive, and I copied the HMDHIFI folder to my hard drive for back up purposes. I then removed the HIMD and wanted to see if I could import my songs into Sonic Stage from my Hard Drive so I wouldn't lose any data. It seems this doesn't work. So Sonic Stage detects that I have a HIMD plugged in and then allows me to import from there? Why can't I choose to import from my hard drive? Maybe there is a way to trick Sonic Stage into thinking I have a HIMD connected when really it is just on my hard drive........ Any thoughts? Has anyone heard of Daemon Tools? It allows you to mount an image to your computer as another disc drive. Is there something similar for HIMD? Please let me know what you think of this idea.
