  1. this just happened yesterday to my NHF800 with XP Pro! is your computer connected to a network and/or have many mapped drives? that was the problem with mine. it seems that XP automatically gives removable devices the next ascending letter of the alphabet after your non-removable hardware (i.e., "removable drive E:"). Since I had already mapped my drive and had already used "E" to name one, XP created a duplicate E (my HI-MD), which then did not show up on the "My Computer" menu and was not therefore accessible through SonicStage. Well anyway, that's the reason, but here's the fix if that's your problem. -right click "my computer" and hit "manage. -under "computer management," hit "disk management" this will give you a list of drives. find your MD player in the drives, right-click and select "change drive letter and paths." then change the letter to something not already assigned. after i did this, then sonicstage was able to import from the device and now it works. hope this helps! -joy
