  1. well thanks again for the advice nismo96. and i think i may have found a nice little amp to help with the 710 volume issue. http://www.boostaroo.com/ so might give one of these a go with the 710 before buying a NH1, just incase sony release something new in the next few months and the NH1 takes a dive price wize i may aswell wait a few months just incase. what do you think of this little amp. compact enough and with some nice sanyo rechargable's should keep up with the 710 charge wize cheers! and thanks again! matt
  2. thanks for the advice aeriyn! very helpfull, would i be better buying a NH1as ive been considering a HMD. is it true they are not capped in there output like other european models. i wana make sure before i buy one. thanks very much matt
  3. Hi all, well this is a strange one. when i first installed sonic stage 2.3 iam sure i could play tracks from my mini disk through sonic stage on my PC. useing A2 ZS. but now after updateing my sound card drivers i cant hear a dam thing through my PC I have removed all creative drivers with a driver cleaner afterwards, removed SS2.3 including a registry clean. reinstalled sound drivers, then SS2.3 but still no sound from the M/D when playing in SS, yet iam sure when i first installed it i could play through my pc sound system. iam beging to belive i must have been dreaming as i cant get it to play now. it plays on the M/D and i can hear it in the phones, but its like my PC is deaf !!!!!! I have looked in all the sonic stage options and i cant find any referance to sound output device. yet i can find audio drivers in the sonic stage program itself. is this a sonic stage issue maybe. also i have noticed that after installing SS 2.3 you can no longer record what you hear with creative software, the whole option of a creative recording device is deleated!!!!! its like SS removes these options. a real pain really cause you cant play with mixing sounds and recording as these options are no longer there. so can anyone else hear ther MD through there PC, and if so how? thanks in advance matt
  4. thanks for your input dave! the more i read the more iam confussed! like this volume issue with the european models. how do you find the volume on yours? seems some stupid french law prevents mobile devices outputing more than 3mv when US models output 5mv What i would like to know is where i can buy a US model of either the 800 or 900 that either can be shipped here or purchased here in the uk as i dont see why i should be govened by a stupid french law anyway! dam french wish they would mind there own business! still undecided of which model to go for but looking at the spec's and reports i would sooner buy an imported version than a european version. but where from. any recomendations anyone? matt
  5. Hi, iam looking into a Hi-md and like the look of the MZNHF800 as its features look ideal to me. ive read the radio is poor. what iam looking for is user's opinions before i buy! also the MZNH900S looks good and its cheaper than the MZNHF800 but has no radio feture so which one would you buy and why? good bad please post! cheers! matt
  6. so the amp output is lower on the europe versions. is the amp output controlled by hardware or firmware. do they work like m/boards and GFX cards/ mobile phones, where you can flash the firmware which can result in voltage changes so the amp might produce full out put? or is there a hardware mod like a volt mod you can do to the unit. bit like i do to GFX and M/boards now. I flash mobile phones, GFX cards all kinds so maybe its posible without hardware mods. or aeiryn? big smile here  what would you recomend as H/phones to help the problem if it cant be modified or flashed to improve sound output. if i was to say buy another unit, what would you recomend to replace the n710 as it does everything i really need other than blow your ears off! also if all european models are govened by the same stupid laws about output from a portable device would i need to purchase one over the pond in the us or can you buy impotted M/d players here in the uk somewhere. Iam surprised about the output, just my luck i guess but it could be worse at least its not the end of the world yet! thanks for any advice guys! what do you think of the MZNHF800 any good?
  7. Hi, and yes i did buy it here in the uk! whats wrong with a UK one then? are they diffrent in some way, and if so how would i know or tell the diffrence? aeriyn! if he did he's going to need either a portable amp or some very efficiend earphones *coughshuree3ccough* LOL this sounds like ive bought me a dud! let me guess it has a volume control that starts from very quiet and excels to quiet on full volume. or aeriyn could it be your parcialy deaf from to many a year blowing out your ear drums, nah can see that in such a pretty girl, so ive bought a dud. just my luck eh! so why did the uk get the duff ones then? come on guys there must be something good about it  cheer me up here
  8. thanks guys! i didnt know there was a h/phone forum as such. cool though iam doing some reading now.
