Hello. Thanks for replying, i'll check that out. I'm using the mp3 conversion tool I got from the website. It only has those three options. But after I finish converting the mp3 files to the Sonic Stage software it shows different bitrates when i checked the each song's properties. I then change the conversion bit rate at the "transfer mode" option to something like 64 or 132 but after it finishes transferring the file to the MD player it ends up being 256 kbps. I just got this device today so I'm a beginner with it. Thx

Hello I'm new to the board. I'm wondering why they don't have an conversion bitrate just a bit below 256 Kbps since i just figured out its taking a lot of space. I don't want the 64 Kbps option since the sound quality is going to degrade significantly - I assume though i haven't tried it yet. Mp3 players have 224 and 192 bit rates and stuff but i'm wondering why the Hi Md doesn't. 25 songs and its down to 700 Mb = p ... Its probably going to take 20 disk to store all my stuff = p Thank you
