Hello All, I am also having trouble installing SS 3.1 but for a different reason. Each attempt results in the message "FAILED TO DOWNLOAD WMP9 CODECS, PLEASE INSTALL IT MANUALLY" the installer then hijacks firefox and loads the Windows Media Player codec website. I've installed all the available codecs on this webpage but nothing changes. I have also downloaded the 'AVI CodecPack + 2' Codec Pack+2 I have just completed the herculean task of remastering, and sonicstage is the last program left to replace. help would be much appreciated, thx My System specs are, P4 1.8 512 ram winxp SP2 vaio laptop

Sonicstage is the worst piece of software i've ever had the mispleasure of using. I've lost count how many times i've installed / updated inorder to fix a whole array of problems. My current version 2.3, has decided to crash every time I try to import music folders. Not to mention it crashes randomly for no apparent reason and when it can't find a listed track. My personal favorite though, is when it tells me that certain tracks can't be transfered because they don't exist, despite being able to play them. P.S. The best music manager is HELIUM, its tagging and database system is second to none, if only it could support MD.....

Thanx it worked! Had to update to sonicstage 2.3 though, which decided to re-organise my database putting all 1050 tracks in the same album. Oh well {sigh}...

I only bought my MD MZ-NHF800 to play downloaded files on my HI-FI system. Previously i had to record through the microphone socket with poor results for considerable effort as each track needed a different analogue record level. Neither my YAMAHA MD deck or my JVC player support ATRAC3/plus playback, thus defeating the point of my purchase. How can I record NetMD using the older ATRAC format? or is my beloved MD deck now officially obsolete?
