  1. If you employ code 24, you gain the ability to title and display tracks in Japanese/Chinese characters.
  2. Download the DH10P Service Manual and utilize the codes accordingly as described for the RH10.

  5. That's correct. However, they have since closed their San Francisco retail store.
  6. Unfortunately, nothing at the moment. We can only wait...
  7. I can't remember ... but I believe it was $16 for a 80min 10-pack and $6.99 for a 1GB disc. You can call ahead to confirm availability - Sony Style at Sony Metreon: (415) 369-6053.
  8. Yes, I am aware of the cracks in the buttons of the HD5. Apparently, the buttons were poorly designed as one piece instead of individual pieces. Thus, it's more susceptible to cracks. However, I am not aware if this problem is prevalent in Japan. I will have to search around for further details; but I am pretty certain that there are reports of it. Haha.... they sure do like a bunch of kids posing for DUI offense.
  9. You could also stop by Sony Metreon while in downtown San Francisco. However, the MD blanks offered were nothing but regular Sony Color Series.
  10. Update: "You are the NEXT!" Project HD5 series In conjunction with the "You are the NEXT!" Project, Sony will release two new designs of the HD5 [20GB capacity] by artists Otani and Hirashi respectively. Naturally, these are special limited edition units - 100 units per design - and it will cost about 36,800円. --> Please click here for further details.
  11. That's a nice unit. Along with your pictorial update, perhaps you could elaborate further on its physical-cosmetic and operational state. Good luck with the sale.
  12. Congratulations. The E10 is indeed one sleek machine - it's always going to be one of my favorite NetMD portable units --> check out my gold-champagne version: here. Even though its casing is of magnesium, the E10 is somewhat susceptible to dents. So, do handle it with care. My E10 is still flawless after 3 years. Enjoy your new toy.
  13. MD Simple Burner is exclusively a MD software.
  14. To use the line out with the car stereo, I suppose you will obviously need to bring the cradle along, appropriate cables and ensure that your VAIO Pocket is adequately charged.
  15. Please note: I have moved all posts pertaining to the problem with adding album covers to its own thread. Please click here
  16. I am surprised that you’ve experienced problems with embedding album covers to a specific album or music track with SonicStage 3.1. Were you trying to attach Album cover to specific tracks of the same album or just an individual track? If you were trying to attach Album cover to a single album, you need only do it once and all tracks within the album will automatically display its respective Album cover when played with the VAIO Pocket. As for lyrics/liner notes, you will need to manually "copy-and-paste" the lyrics in question or just import the lyrics in question from a .txt file. --> right click on the music track in question --> properties --> lyrics/liner notes --> either "copy-and-paste" the lyrics in question or just import the lyrics in question from a .txt file. I am sorry that your experience was not as expected; but really, it is quite simple and it should not even crash your system as you have described.

@ bobt: Andyk from Audio T-Board has a NH1 for sale. Since you don't want to use PayPal, this seller (only) accept postal money order as a form of payment.
  18. As a follow up to the topic of discussion, please read the follow Opinion piece from today's Wall Street Journal.
  19. If I remember correctly, zerodB did mention that the Labelmaker comes bundled with M-Crew. Drop him a pm for further details.
  20. I believe it's possible to employ the VAIO Music Move/Music Transfer software that comes bundled with the VAIO Pocket. But then, you will still need to rip the tracks in question onto the HDD before you can transfer the files over to the HD3. If you are interested, please refer to the VAIO Pocket pictorial I have set up with the forum; and download the utility accordingly.

    Thread moved to Classifieds section.
  22. You run the regular English version of SonicStage 3.1 with Microsoft AppLocale in Japanese language. --> The application you select to launch with Microsoft AppLocale --> C:\Program Files\Sony\SonicStage\Omgjbox.exe [and ignore the "arguments" box] --> Select the language of the target application: Japanese --> Create a shortcut: For example, SonicStage 3.1 JE or whatever you desire. Have fun titling.
  23. Titling Japanese/Chinese characters using a non Japanese SonicStage 3.1 has been discussed before within the software section of the forum. Nonetheless, to enable kanji/kana titling using the English version of SonicStage 3.1 currently installed in your system, you will need to run a simple registry edit for SonicStage 3.1. Please follow the instruction below and run SonicStage 3.1 in Japanese with Microsoft AppLocale. If you need Microsoft AppLocale --> click here If you follow the steps below, kanji and kana characters will show as it should. Once again, please remember to run SonicStage 3.1 with Microsoft AppLocale in Japanese language after the registry edit. --> Using regedit, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Sony Corporation\OpenMG\PD\{D887F25F-02A3-44D7-841F-583DD5231B5F} --> Then locate the entry called "AreaCode" with a value of 2 for US version. --> Change it to 40000 hexadecimal. That's the value on the Japanese install of SS. You can convert your WAV or Mp3s to ATRAC3/ATRAC3+ using SonicStage 3.1. You will use SonicStage 3.1 for lyrics input as well.
  24. Do you have another MD portable to test those so-called blank discs; or perhaps other previously recorded MDs for the existing R909 to test? If you can’t play or record any further, I suspect that your R909 maybe on its final leg and the culprit is likely a dying optical block.
  25. That's because the RH10 charges via the USB as well. I reckon it's a safeguard rather than an oversight. But I do see your point. The designer could have given us the choice to use the charging stand as a "stand" (assuming we don't connect the AC Adaptor) while employing the USB port. Have fun with your new toy.
