Hi all, Has anyone any experience with the Sony MDS-JB980? This is a new top end 'UK Sound Tuned' Sony model. I have a problem which never occurred on my old MDS-JE510 regarding recording from a CD. If I record from CD (optical input), the MD records as one continuous track and does not recognise the CD track numbering. I have tried all the usual things from the instruction book, like ensuring that the auto-track numbering is ON etc, but to no avail. The CD player is a Quad 99CD-P and has a standard optical SPDIF output. Anyone know what may be wrong here? Is is a bug in the Sony firmware? NickD.
