Dear folks, I take a course currently where I would like to record and collect the lectures. I have an MD-player (SONY MZ-N710) which I have used together with the microphone (SONY ECM-MS907) to record some lectures with varying though acceptable quality. The MZ-N710 goes with Net-MD. My wish is to record the lectures obtaining good quality, being able to transfer the recordings to a computer as simple as possible, being able to store a series of lectures, on for example a DVD (? - I am certainly not a technical pro, the reason why I mention DVD is becase one can store 9,4 GB which storecapacitywise is approximately 14 MD-discs, which would be about the full course). Which MD-equipment do I need? My current MD-player can not transfer to the computer with USB, but is it possible to transfer while playing the lecture (simply recording it again on the computer)? Which recording equipment do I need to have installed on my computer of I want to re-record lectures on the computer? Do anyone of you know a better microphone than SONY ECM-MS907 (my budget is 300 - 400 USD)? Is it possible to put the series of lectures on a DVD and be able to listen to them with a DVD-player? Or is there any other store medium for series of lectures recorded (it would be good to have it stored somewhere else and not only on the computer, while being able to evade flip-flopping with numerous MD-discs). Would HI-MD be a better option for me? Would it enable me to transfer the lectures more easily to the computer? Thanks in advance for replys.
