If you didn't recieve software with your MD, you may need to dig around to look for the Sonicstage and driver software. I have the same one . . . record using LP4 to get 5 hours - Hit MENU, use the Fast foward arrow to go to R-SET, hit ENTER - arrow to R-MODE - you have the choice of SP, LP2 or LP4 - hit enter for your choice.
