Yes, but most of my CDs that I own are in mp3 format on my computer. Reguardless, it just seems silly to me that Sony cripple their MD players this much. First, they don't let users copy tracks off the player, even if they put them there from the computer (it don't actually transfer the tracks back onto the computer, although it appears to; instead it just finds the reencoded files stored on your comp already and adds them to your library). Second, recorded tracks cannot be digitally copied off of it. And, finally, they don't support the most common codec, mp3? It's no wonder minidisk players never found a large market in the US, because, like Betamax, Sony shot themselves in the foot again and lost the market share because of it. I'm just happy I got my MD player for free (from a friend who bought an iPod after being so fed up with the MD player), otherwise I too would probably be upset with my purchase.
