I have exactly the same problem as Indy is describing. I was using Sonic Stage 3.3 up until a reinstall of windows. I have now installed version 3.4 and now when I am encoding a CD I get ocassional skips. Other than a fresh windows installation (XP SP2) I have exactly the same hardware and the exact same cds. I have cd smoothing engauged and have the high quality setting activated. BTW I am encoding as an ATRAC @ 192k. As I said not such problems using 3.2, but I would really like to encode without the copyright protection (after being caught out and having to delete all my previously encoded files after the reinstall). Any ideas because it's as frustrationg as hell? Also how come 3.4 it complains about copy protected cds when 3.3 did not?
