yeah, i went right to connect.com and installed 2.3 from there. didn't even use the cd i got with my md. the cd has SS 1.5 and simple burner (i don't know what version) and drivers. like i said the programs open, files convert, they just can't be transfered. here's a screenshot from simple burner:

I'm using xp with service pack 2. I've totally read all the FAQs at the beginning and have clean installed 3 times. I've tried with simple burner 1.2 and 2.0. Any other ideas. also how can i find if i've got the ffdshow codec on my computer?

Okay I've tried everything. I have a cd for SS 1.5 that has worked with this md on my last computer and other computers about 6 months ago. I have tried updating to SS 2.3, including doing a clean install following the regedit instructions and everything. Unable to transfer files. They convert but don't transfer. I have tried using M3U2SB and Nero and M3U2SB and Daemon and Simple Burner. Transfers fail. I have tried getting new drivers from other sources on the net and reinstalling them. I have diligently read numerous topics in this forum and others. All of these programs read the minidisc and i can delete/edit my mds through them but cannot transfer. I'm looking for any suggestions over here. Anything would be much appreciated. thanks

ugh, okay so I got a new computer and finally got around to reinstalling Sonic Stage onto it. I had the ver. 1.5 on cd. No probs on the install but then it wouldn't recognize my md. so I upgraded to 2.3. still no probs on the install. The problem lies in the transfer. I've tried transfer from my library, from cd, everything. I just get this message: Error Report These tracks cannot be transfered. Unable to transfer the track or tracks. Help me please!!! I've searched the forums and am at my wits end here. thanks
