I've found the Artist Link Button a bit useless-but the artist link shuffle is a lot of fun. Best using it with Sonicstage-you can edit it to better link things e.g if you disagree with the genre of something or for some obscure stuff you may have.

To get the artist link to work you need to have to be hooked up the the internet and ask it to get the cd info. It asked to do this the first time I logged in. Also I noticed the date format has changed which is why I didn't think it updated itself. Old enties are logged as 2006/5 for May now they are 2006/05 the extra zero means there are now 2 lists.

Does anybody know if this is right? Would i be right in thinking that ss4.0 does not update your playing history and top 100? Not bothered about that first one but dont you need the top 100 for shuffling favorites. Also is there a difference betweeen europe and us release?

First time I tried Sonicstage it took a good 10-15 minutes. It said it was converting the database. Was a bit worried-but once it had done this everytthinng seemed to be fine. Couldn't see any changes-nothing was converted

Thanks it does say 110-240v on it so will try with just an adapter.

Woulds anyone know what my best option would be for charging a NWa1000 at the mains in the US when I go on holiday? Am worried about the change in voltage

Hi There, I've also noticed this kind of problem-I take you have been using sonicstage 3.4. I've got a NWA series so I changed to Connect which stopped this. Hopefully this will be sorted out in the upgrade.

Have you noticed that the PSP can now support AAC-this is a good sign. I'm hoping that we get a firmware upgrade so more sony stuff gets this. Why dont you convert AAC-WAV-atrac using DB poweramp-which you can download for free. Wave is a direct convert-I dont think you lose any quality

I dont know if this will help you, but I had a problem where i was playing about with connect-to put the album art on. It suddenly stopped letting me transferring songs to the player. So I did exactly as you did. This doesn't work. What I did was to delete all the songs from the connect library. Do this when in connect-not from directory as this will mess up the artist, and re-scan your drives. Worked for me!

I am a bit confused. I thought all mp3's would have gaps. i've converted flac>mp3>atrac using db power amp with no gaps. Bizarre I know but it works

I've got a nw-a1000. When I first got it aftew reading comments I uesd sonic stage 3.4, but noticed the skips. The really, really, bugged me. So now I use connect-thisx was even before 1.4-no skips

Sony suggests that if database is unstable to remove the folders in c:/documents and settings/all users etc. I have found that if you delete you tunes from connect itself and re-scan them in it will update the artist link.

Had exactly the same problem. I updated-was impressed as wasn't able to use artist link berfore. Then I had problems transfering songs. So I initalized my nwa1000-didn't work-deleted the library-as per sony's instructions and reimported my files. They all came back. Noticed that they didn't have the artist link. Doesn't look for info unless I import a new file/cd, as if it thinks the info is there so it doesn't have to look

Hi, I read the post about using connect after loading files with sonic stage 3.4. I've used SS before on a previous player and I liked it-so I used this when I got a NWA1000. However after reading the thing about connect-I loaded it. I'm not really sure what to do when I get into connect to update my top 100 etc. Please Help. Cheers Adrian
